My Classroom

I have designed my preschool program around a nurturing and loving enivionment where your child is our number one priority. My classroom will be a place where students will receive warm, responsible care, and it will be a place where they feel safe and secure.

     This year will be filled with many fun lessons and activities that will help your child to truly enjoy learning and to carry that love for learning with them as they grow. We will learn by doing work and fun activities in Pre-K. The students will be able to learn about everyday ways of life in the real world, and in school. In my classroom I know that your child is the future. My educational program will have a positive effect on your child's academic performance. Your child will be learning helpful new tasks through hands-on activities. Throughout the day the students will be able to explore the classroom's learning centers which include art, blocks, books, dramatic play, math, and science. Children benefit greatly from having these clearly defined interest areas that  are arranged to promote independence, faster decision making, and to incourage hands-on teamwork. Children will be provided in opportunities to see how reading and writing are useful tools in learning letter sounds and word identification.In my classroom, I will foster your child's cognitive developement by helping them understand themselves, others, and the world around them. I will do this by observing and helping them interact with poeple and to seek solutions to real-life problems. The student's physical development needs will be met with daily opportunities to use large muscles, including running, jumping, and balancing. Small muscle skills will be strengthened through play activities such as puzzles, painting, and crafts.Outdoor activities are also planned daily so that students  may freely express themselves. Finally, your child will acquire an appreciation of the arts through music, dramatic movement, and art experience. Thus your child will develope the ability to express his/her creativity.
